New Novels found on Simon and Schuster

Simon and Schuster (Viz’s distributor) lists two new novels (presumably from the Haikasoru line): Mirror Sword and Shadow Prince (Noriko Ogiwara) and Good Luck, Yukikaze (Chohei Kambayashi). Good Luck, Yukikaze is definitely the sequel to Yukikaze (published this past January under the Haikasoru imprint) and Mirror Sword and Shadow Prince appears to be a sequel to Dragon Sword and Wind Child (being reprinted by Viz in paperback November 16). Both novels ship May 17, 2011.

There is no summary for Good Luck, Yukikaze, but the following summary is listed for Mirror Sword and Shadow Prince:
“Oguna is an orphan with a secret even he doesn’t know—he’s a prince and heir to a terrible power. His best friend Toko is a member of the Tachibana clan and a potential high priestess able to tame that power…or destroy it.”

I’m all for more Noriko Ogiwara! Dragon Sword and Wind Child is an amazing book! And I haven’t gotten to Yukikaze yet, but getting the sequel published in English as well is awesome!

  1. Wonderful news indeed 😀

Yukikaze wasn’t bad but I’m more happy that Dragon Sword and Wind Child gets its sequel released here in the states (I believe there’s one more after that right? Not sure where I read that…)
Looks like I’ll need to re-read my old edition of Dragon Sword and Wind Child to refresh my memory ^^

    Thanks for the update!

Wikipedia says there are two sequels to Dragon Sword and Wind Child, so hopefully Viz will pick up the last one too~
      I should re-read mine too…it’s a fantastic book and it’s soooo well written! 😀

      No problemo. ;D
